The Man in the Moon
James Newton Howard
" Soft background experience "Written by Thomas Glorieux - Review of the regular release
Soft dramatic score from James Newton Howard for the debut of Reese Witherspoon. It is a lovely background listen where soft drama and playful joy meet one another. It's all very relaxing and occasionally beautiful, without delivering the typical James Newton Howard magic or memorable main theme. The main theme is lovely nonetheless and supports the strongest musical moments in the score (opening and closing track), while guitar pleasantness delivers the children being children. One harsher moment turns up in "Court's Accident", but everything else is perfect food for a background experience. No grand highlights here, just a lovely score The Man in the Moon is.
I suppose the opening track is the most interesting one, delivering the biggest emotion.
This score is rather short, and I suppose it didn't need more as well.
No real highlights here.
