- Comment I listened to Cinema Paradiso yesterday too. It's one of my favorites (along with Malena, and others) - and I was thinking about how I don't know of any other composer that used the saxophone in such a classical way. I usually hear it to add jazzy color, and it can sometimes sound dated to me ...

- Comment That's so amazing! He must have really loved conducting live and connecting with audiences in real life. So amazing that at that age he really never retired - I hope we all have such lust for life!

- Comment Makes total sense Pawel! Morricone has such a large body of work, that I've probably only heard a tiny, tiny fraction of it in comparison to what's out there. But in honor of his great life today, I'm going to listen to the classics that I have of his and soak up the iconic goodness.

- Comment Such sad news to wake up to. But I guess at 91, it was expected, I just didn't want to think about it. He and his music are one-of-a-kind and I'm sad I never got a chance to experience one of his concerts.

- Comment I hadn't heard of kubb until a few years ago. My sister made a kubb set for my parents for Christmas one year (she had learned about it and played through some friends). I don't love playing games as much as some people, but I have surprisingly good aim (I surprise myself!), so you don't want to ...

- Comment I'm totally bummed I missed out on all the fun yesterday! I wanted to join, but the timing just didn't work out. Had a full family day of paddle boarding, hiking and lake swimming, summer dinner foods, a couple games of kubb and movie night - so sadly I just couldn't fit it in! I enjoy catching ...

- Comment It's different for everyone and dependent on what you like eating, used to eat or miss eating, haha. But I personally don't think your recipe counts as faux meat because mushrooms are natural whole foods, but if it used some processed veggie meat substitute then I might consider it. :)

- Comment NP: Ever After by George Fenton I really love the tin whistle on "Your Highness - What A Surprise" and the regal French horns throughout the score, but especially on the intro to "The Prince's Decision" with the harp, oboe, flute and strings - the mix of the most ...

- Comment I was actually born and raised a vegetarian, so have been one all my life - which means unfortunately I can't really tell you if the Lion's Mane has a seafood quality or not, but they have long separated teeth that each absorb sauce flavors really well, so you can really taste all the white wine, ...

- Comment Oh, I love that recipe and make it all the time! If it's like mine, it's the one with arame and nutritional yeast? My husband grows culinary mushrooms in our basement during the winter months and I usually make it with Lion's Mane mushrooms and they absorb all the yummy flavor! Molto bene!

- Comment I adore Patrick Doyle. I grew up watching A Little Princess, so I’m definitely partial to that score and others of his that are more romantic ones (and ones I play on the piano), but Shipwrecked it truly excellent!
