Gorgeous, almost summer weather here in Oslo today. Almost 20 degrees and shining sun. I've spent most of the day on the balcony.
It also happens to be a holiday in Norway, so a gazillion people out in the parks, walking around, barbecuing, what have you. Do you guys also 'celebrate' May 1st? (International Worker's Day).
Got to soak it up now, because on Thursday, the temperature is expected to plummet to 10 degrees and rain!I am extremely serious. -

Yes, I don't have to go to work today. -

Not a holiday here as far as I know. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I ask because while it's a worldwide holiday, only some countries seem to implement it. It has strong traditions in Norway, including parades, speeches and what-have-you (even though I haven't really participated in any of it since I was "forced to" as a kid).I am extremely serious. -

Yeah, Labour Day here as well. We had a great weekend in the Mosel Valley. Gorgeous weather (22+). Tomorrow will be drenching rain again.Kazoo -

Any holiday which celebrates (or even recognizes) the efforts of the working man or the Union movement - as Labor Day/May Day is supposed to - is generally felt to have vaguely socialist overtones in the US. So, to avoid connotations with those liberal commies over in Europe, it's not recognized the same day as everyone else (they moved it to the first Monday in September). So, I'm at work.Movie Music UK http://www.moviemusicuk.us -

As far as San Diego is concerned we're in what they call the May Gray mode. Hi of 65 low of 60 and overcast 24 hours a day. No rain just clouds.

WINTER returned with a vengeance to Norway today. Not exactly where I live, but in other surrounding areas in Oslo. Snow, snow, snow! It's crazy....just a couple of days ago, it was almost summer temperatures. Now this!I am extremely serious. -

Yeah, here as well. No snow, but drizzle all the way. Grey clouds, cold depression, temperature below 10 degrees, ... Spring still hasn't started yet!Kazoo -

I've been reading about San Diego in my new Lonely Planet California guide that I just got, and I'm considering including a pitstop there when I head on over. Seems fairly laidback compared to LA. But LA and San Francisco are first priority.I am extremely serious. -

Make sure we touch bases for sure. The Amtrak is a three hour train ride to L.A.

Don't know what to make of this weather, but here it was sunny, windy, then rainy, then sunny, then a thinderstorm with hale stones, and now it is freezing! Whatever next......Did we do the Sun Dance backwards again to get so much rain???? -

Very similar here, my cat ( Gomez ) came charging in from outside when the hail started
The weather conditions right now are perfect for photography, bright blue skies with fluffy cotton wool clouds on one side and a stormy blanket of black on the other, a fantastic and ominous contrast. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

luckily the sun has disappeared behind the clouds, and we can comfort ourselves it's gonna go towards 28 degrees for the next couple of days, by the end of the week even 20, so no more heatwave
