Oh snap! HAHAHA I You're right. I should rip the commercial release though so I'll have the proper version. On the commercial album, the "Chase" track is an all-out action edit.

NP: Perfume - Tom Tykwer, Johnny Klimer & Reinhold Heil

Incredibly beautiful and haunting at the same time. It's one of those scores that can creep you out and still make you swoon over it. It fits the movie oh so perfectly cool

Perfume, what a fantastic, atmospheric grand score. Dark brilliance!
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

Werd. I think it's their best score, yet (I hope). Nothing else in their repertoire comes close to the magnetic personality that Perfume generates.

It doesn't, the rest of their work is horror drone. Run lola Run is a techno feast but still very inferior to Perfume.

Hmmm, One Hour Photo was pretty good, considering... It has a "similar" atmospheric feel, and the tension scoring was very nicely handled and helped the movie considerably.

Also, not really - it's a suite of the nuke recovery and NY search and chase, so not so much all-out smile

It was good, in context. All of their dark horror scores work wonders in the films they accompany. But when put next to perfume, you can hear the difference.

    That "Sarajevo" piece is outstanding!

Yeap! of course, Mamak Khadem vocals mixed with Zimmer's lament melody is really touching. The last 2 minutes of "peacemaker" (track from the original realease) with the lament theme again, reforced by male chorus and synthetisers in the background is really, really is pure Zimmer.

    NP:Anna and the King (Fenton)

The first track is one of the best ways to open a score! beer

Was Playing: Themes from THE WORLD HERITAGE - Yuji Toriyama

This is music from a long-run documentary series.

Various variations of the great main theme "The Song Of Life" are worth listening. Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's versions are great, but still the original synth version hasn't lost its power. Other tracks are rather inoffensive background music (that's what they were written for), but still pleasant listening.

I heard since this spring "The Song Of Life" was replaced by a new theme by other composer, but I haven't heard it yet...

I agree with Pawel. EAGLE EYE's action parts rock the house, loud, balls, right-on and grand. But his softer moments are just filler whereas BANGKOK DANGEROUS has a surprising amount of touching melody and nostalgic, urban-like tone.

Just doing my comparison right now - will tell which one I prefer in about 2 hours, when I finish my listening of both scores, but it may end up that both scores are on the same level, with one score favoring action music, the other one melodic and underscore material.

That was my point. So, your final veredict?

My point is Tyler is uncapable to make a balanced score tongue

    NP:Perfect Storm (Horner)

repetitive and sacharine main theme, but terrific action stuff and....ELETRIC GUITARS!!!!!

( Great to see one of the motifs from Mighty Joe Young come back :P)

Gime me Darkness Falls any day and you will have the best of Tyler (the rest is just doing this score again and again and worst)

From the temp tracked scores (Partition , The greatest game...) to his own plagiarism (tokio , Eagle, Timeline...)

However I can't denie how amazing and powerful is his use of the orchestra.

NP:Kung Fu panda (You know who)

I must be the only one who rates this score amongst Zimmer and powell best works.

A perfect fusion of Both Styles. Thematically rich , very well realeased and very diverse (crazy, Dramatic, Epic, Heroic...)

I don't think tracks like "Hero", "Sacred Pool of tears", " a peach tree of wisdom", "the bridge", "Dragon Warrior Rises", "oogway ascends" can be callet "mikey Mousing" or "bland" ....Demetris?? rolleyes

You skip "Accu Flashback" , the only annoying mikey mousing track, and you have a very cool 50 minutes listening experience!

Makes for a perfectly exciting trio of scores to listen in a row, with BANGKOK DANGEROUS and EAGLE EYE. The percussive/brassy rhythmic inferions a la * The Rescue are a pure treat.

I thought I was the only one who liked this one. Maybe a 50 minutes release would have been better (as a listening experience), but then again it´s Tyler; he likes to release as much music as possible? I won´t complain. Some days you wanna hear all the music, some days you make your own playlist.
