My intention is always to try and find interesting projects that inspire me to write a great score.

At least his intentions are good.

Well, at least his Clash score was FAR better than the utter crap that was Iron Man. Clash is a by-the-numbers MV score but it was fun... IM was just a sad score in a good movie.

No. Jordi goes beyond it: he likes the whole thing.

I don't like the whole album. But there are more than 30minute worth of stuff that I won't mind listen to, and enjoy most of, that it's good enough for me.

All this talk of Iron Man, I picked up "Gulmira", "Vacation's Over" & "With The Top Down". Good, in small doses!

There's a new Djawadi score released recently, from a Belgian animated film titled Le Voyage Extraordinaire de Samy -

Only 15 min on CD, but from the samples it sounds like a pleasant score with acoustic guitar and nice, soothing use of orchestra. smile

I want it, but I hardly think I'm going to be able to justify spending so much money to import the CD...those download sites don't accept American connection I don't think....

    Huh?
Is that a reboot of the video game franchise?

I still remember our faces (and expressions) when Lennertz told us in Úbeda that he wasn't scoring this new Medal of Honor.

Now MV/RC have taking over the video game world... a world that use to supply us with some of the most inspired orchestral music written in the past 10-15 years. It's all going to hell!

Actually, the video game industry, musically, it's not THAT bad. There are still PLENTY of video games out there with brilliant scores written by some incredible talent. It's just so sad to see the Medal of Honor franchise (and Call of Duty) start on such a high with Giacchino and then plunge deep into the sewers of MV/RC with Djawadi.
