Of course, they have to right to keep it all to themselves if they so wish.
They do - and we have no right to expect them to do anything else - but I share your frustration about Williams. The stories he could tell - but doesn't. -

I think there should be a Woods - Southall duel, with the winner getting the sole right of posting release info in this topic."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

If I didn't take the time to BOLD the Lincoln title I would have won.

But will it be better than the other Lincoln score already released this year?I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

Hard to see how it could be, really. -

Yeah, Williams just doesn't have it when it comes to the fine art of utilizing electric guitars in appropriate historical settings...I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

The unused electric guitar solos of 'Chase through Coruscant' come to mind...A butterfly thinks therefore I am -
- CommentTimeAug 24th 2012
It doesn't get much more historical than that, after all. -
- CommentTimeAug 24th 2012 edited
Indeed. "A long time ago..."
So if they had guitars all the way back when Coruscant was populated, they better have them in this new Lincoln score. I'll consider the whole project a failure otherwise.I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra? Never heard a score from them... -
- CommentTimeAug 24th 2012
They performed the music on the Fantasia 2000 recording. Williams has worked with them before and Spielberg wanted that Illinois connection (Lincoln's home state) with the music.

There are a few fun cues if you are in the mood for angry guitar playing mixed with Jackman's typically rousing action writing for strings. Also the main theme (the one with the wordless vocal in the first track) is really nice and would make the whole score worthwhile if it was used for more than 45 seconds of the total album time!I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!
