OK. And honestly, it really doesn't matter to me; it's always a treat to log on to MainTitles and be greeted by a bazillion new reviews! -

Why not John Williams? It'd be nice to get some reviews of iconic scores such as Star Wars, Hook, Jurassic Park, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, etc. up on the site. Or what about Michael Giacchino? There's not too many reviews of his work. Or perhaps tackle uploading the reviews of the other Star Trek scores? -

Well, it depends. But it'd still be nice to get reviews of classics, as well as not-so-well-known titles. -

Does it matter? Thomas has so many reviews stored up on his old site; what's the harm in uploading all those old reviews in addition to new ones of more obscure scores? -

I do that on occassions, but I try to upload the ones I already have when a new score of the same composer is released, aka Night at the Museum 2 with all the others
It just takes a lot of time to re write them (considering I couldn't write for shit back then, and hell I write like shit still)
I would love nothing more than to upload the Zimmers of the Williams' but it just takes a lot of time
hell Goldsmith will take me ages to do
Anyway, I'll try to squeeze some obscure ones through the occassional bigger composer
Will see what I can do for the next timewaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

Yeah, that´s a funny one.
On the other hand, it could just be a kind of intro to the battle, like, Tadaaaaaa. "...and now, let´s go into the final battle, guys..." Tadaaaaaaaaaatatata with the next two or three tracks being the actual battle music. -

I bet in today's "hip" Hollywood, that Silvestri cue isn't for a final battle, but rather leads up to it and the battle itself is played over by a horrible song, possibly something with electric grungy guitar. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

I love Silvestri's action music, still, 71 minutes seems a bit long for my taste. But who knows, if it's as good as Judge Dredd or Beowulf, chances are that I will enjoy it even in 71 minutes. -

Composer Alan Silvestri recently recorded his score to the upcoming summer action film, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, directed by Stephen Sommers. Silvestri conducted a 90-piece orchestra through his action-heavy music, and ScoringSessions.com is excited to bring our readers the exclusive photos from the scoring sessions!

- CommentTimeJul 13th 2009
I don't know, they sound pretty general to me. But anyway, I'd like to hear the entire score because sound clips rarely give me a correct picture of the score as a whole.
