    What if we just shared photos of our houses and surroundings, neighborhoods? I'd love something like that! What do you think? Without telling where they are that is, no addresses no nothing, just a generic town, country and the photos smile

    If it's possible, maybe if people do a screen-grab from Google street view to post somewhere. Google should have made any obvious identifying features such as house numbers/car registrations anonymous.

    Well, then it's just easier to take a picture of one's house. Which is also interesting, but providing the general neighbourhood of one's housing would be equally cool. smile

    No, I do think that it's an interesting idea. I had just assumed that outside rather than inside was what was being talked about.

    The middle 'wheel' on my mouse just said good night. Doesn't work anymore. I've become so accustomed to scrolling with it in my computer/internet use, it's annoying when it disappears. Now I need to buy a new one and mouses are so DAMN expensive!

    I'm just a bit frustrated because so many of my electronic thingies are either malfunctioning or getting wildly out of date, and I can't afford an update. I still have an old 90's "fat" screen television, a non-iPhone cell phone, a razor machine from the early 90's, a DVD player (not a bluray) and so on. And now a faulty mouse.

    Ah...the troubles of the first world countries.....

    smile But if they're working, then they're just fine, it's illogical to run behind technology if you don't actually need it! I didn't get a blu-ray player either 'cause, haaaaaarrrrr harrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hooooooooooorrrrrrrrrr aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr arrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh

    The nurse who took the call from the hoax callers (from a Australian radio station) pretending to be the Queen (and Prince Charles?), asking about the condition of the Duchess of Cambridge, has been found dead!

    If she has committed suicide because of all of this I will be interested to hear what the hoaxers have to say.

    I also still have a tube tv (16:9) and am perfectly fine with it. I still have a DVD player and I won't chance for BluRay as long as I can prevent it. I don't have a smart phone because it never ocurred to me as beeing necessary.

    It's good that you don't feel the need to upgrade your technology just because it is new technology - or would you if circumstances allow? I'm sure that I will "upgrade" to a Blu-Ray player when my DVD player packs up, and I will probably get a Sky+ HD box when our standard Sky box packs up too (we have an HD-ready TV).

    I have to say if someone commits suicide over something as dumb as this... there were definitely other problems. The only thing those pranksters should feel sorry about is the lousy job they did on the accents. My two cents.
