  1. NP: Who Killed Solange? Ennio Morricone

Again one of those quirker, on edge suspense scores I simply don't like to hear from him, no matter the inventiveness

Of his non WW2 scores there´s one that I specially like and that IMO is a GREAT score: Valhalla.

Yeah I like that too. My favourite theme by him that's not war related is his Miss Marple theme, it's just fantastic and never fails to make me smile.

Goodwin also wrote excellent scores for That Riviera Touch ( starring comedians Morecombe & Wise, this won't mean much to anybody outside Britain ) and The Early Bird ( starring comedian Norman Wisdom and won't mean much to anybody outside Britain and Albania spin ), both contain some of the most infectious scoring you'll ever hear but unfortunately neither has had any release in any way shape or form outside of a DVD film release, a real shame slant

Le Jour et la Nuit - Maurice Jarre

I defy anyone not to fall in love with this ravishing romantic masterpiece.
  3. I defy anyone to find that CD in the U.S.

NP: The Gospel of John - Jeff Danna

I just got this yesterday. I like it. The theme is beautiful. There are lots of interesting instruments and gorgeous strings. Very nice.
  4. Never heard of that one, James! You should review it.

Can't remember where I bought it. Maybe off Ebay when I was a little more extravagant in my soundtrack spending.

Okay, I just need to make myself acquainted with BG music. I saw the series, some music was particularly nice and the action music... well special indeed. With season 3 nearing its end (I'm a little behind) I think it's time to start listening to the soundtracks. People are going nuts over these, so I'll check em out ASAP.

Bregt can help you out with that, I have all the non BG music of McCreary cheesy

No problem! I have my sources too. Speaking of which, don't you think its about time you start exploring the galaxy in a Battlestar? You could do much worse with your time tongue

    hmn, maybe? tongue

OK dude, I just don't get what you're saying there. Enlighten me.

Remembering my first days as a score fan! This is a really electronic score with a symphonic feeling.

    na na naaaaaaaaaaaaaa (Travolta appears)

    You´ve missed a na actually.
Na na na naaaaa..... na na na naaaaa would be more like it.

Nop. I thought the same, but I have the booklet and Zimmer says he composed a 3 notes theme.

Beautiful, subtle and emotional score. This is the music that represents a feeling of Tokyo's residential suburb (Tama New Town, where the film is set, and where I live now).

Oh cool. Maybe if you're lucky, a cat will lead you to the antique store. I love the music.

NP: The Lion King - Hans Zimmer

And it is completely acceptable that I'm listening to this. After all, Joseph Williams (John William's son) is the singing voice for adult Simba.
