QoS is like Indy 4 was to Raiders or Crusade. It's totally crap when compared to the previous films, but it really isn't that bad. If you don't mind a film that completely lacks wit and is full of speedy action scenes and hot women then you'll like it. If you were expecting a decent continuation from Casino Royale then you're not in for a fun ride.
yep, you're right
like I said, I watched this movie right after one of the finest Bonds ever made, so in comparison it is crap
It is pretty decent, but when I think about it, it is crap because I didn't care less for any of them, only Olga's character
And the bad guy is not even bad, come on, when will a bad guy become someone you really want to see punished
Best example of late, Kurt Russell in Death Proofwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

Hah! I have seen that movie. Dreamers. It's nice. And there are a lot of hot scenes. Perhaps more than one could want. -

Saw last night...
The Missionary
Michael Palin, Maggie Smith and Trevor Howard. Quirky Brit comedy. Michael Palin plays a missionary who has been asked to attend to prostitutes and lead them away from their 'immoral' lives. The eccentric characters are what makes this fun. There's a butler with a serious memory loss that he keeps forgetting directions and orders. And Palin's fiance is obssessed with filing and organization. Enjoyable -

MIRRORS
With Chuck Norris, a.k.a the 24 lead who shows extremely unsafe acting-wise, outside his 24 protecting veil. Quit decent horror flick with not too many scares but a clever enough plot, albeit cliched. The ending pays off though and the music by Javie Navarette proves once again that this man has something good in store.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

We are now a couple of episodes into season 2 of Prison Break and I still think it's very good. It's different than season 1 of course and perhaps it's not as good anymore, but since season 1 was bloody excellent in my opinion, season 2 is still great. Some things become a little bit predictable or over the top but each episode offers enough new stuff and surprises to keep me excited.

I love Casino Royale, I loathe Quantum of Bullshit. There you have it.
No interesting story, no defined characters, no suspense (I mean even Casino's poker scenes where thrilling). Poorly directed and edited action. And I still have no clue what this latest Bond is about. I will let this one fade out of my memory at the speed of light. WOOOSSSSHHHHHHH............. Voila... 1941
Boy, I finally saw this one and this supposed to be Steven Spielberg's answer to a comedy
Sadly the jokes aren't really funny
BUT
I laughed my ass of because this is one insane entertaining swashbuckling movie
The first hour is chaotic with all the introductions of the characters, but the last hour is hilariously chaotic, because it is one hour of explosions, shootings, fights, bombings and comedic situations
It is so chaotic and big, it becomes funny
Man, I really enjoyed this one (I saw the director's cut)
WOOHOO

Bingo. That line says it all. 1941 is a guilty pleasure. Just a big, stupid, dumb film that is really funny because it so ridiculously BIG and OVERTOP! Belishi is brilliant and the special effects are top notch! Classic use of miniatures! And WHAT a score! Williams in top form!

Desplat's score employs weird (and old fashioned) electronics that apparently are meant to disorient us. In fact, it's just annoying. He is FAR better and interesting when sticking to a more symphonic style.
2.5 out of 5
I won't stand up for the film, which has beautiful photography and strong direction but a script that founders despite promising beginnings.
However, I must disagree on the score. I believe it is by some measure the strongest American film score of that year or the years either side of it. It gets the picture better than the picture gets itself, and at time pulls off the tough sell of making scenes work.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Doubt
Finally I managed to watch this movie and I didn't regret it. Very good actor-driven drama with interesting characters. It is obvious, though, that it was adapted from a stage play since this movie is 99% talk between two or three characters. But still, very good and enjoyable.
Butterfly on a Wheel
I cought this thriller/drama on TV last night and I liked it. It's one of those movies where I can't really understand why it went straight-to-DVD. The cast is impressive: Pierce Brosnan, Gerard Butler and Maria Bello and it has a really surprising twist - or should I say twists - at the end. -

Hummm... Shore's post LOTR output looks something like this...
Doubt
The Betrayal
Eastern Promises
The Last Mimzy
The Departed
A History of Violence
The Aviator
I don't see a weak score in that list... do you?
