The Glass House

Christopher Young

" It doesn't need much to break, beware! "

Written by Thomas Glorieux - Review of the regular release

For a small album such as this, The Glass House still has some issues. But thanks to Young's attention to detail, the score ends just about the right time. The opening track and the wonderful end cue "This Too Shall Pass" makes us forget it's basically a rather average affair in the middle. A cue here and there gives us enough chills, but overall this is not enough. But if you consider this could have been lost forever in another person's hands (like we heard so much of these days), it proves that Young doesn't forget the little ones. For the fans!

A good opening cue and a wonderful end cue, typical Young with attention to detail to the theme and the development. Ready, set, go!
As always, the tension, eeriness and atonality is top notch.
A potent horror / action cue "Twice Told Tales", Young delivers even for the smaller pictures.
The eeriness works to a degree, but tends to drag the experience too, especially for a short album this is definitely a problem.
