No thread on this composer yet, which is not so strange since he's done less than a handful of films (but obviously much more non-film stuff, esp. Alan Parsons-related).

Beyond Alan Parson's Ladyhawk is the only work of his, that I am acquainted with and that I find to be much stronger than some others seem to think. Judging from Ladyhawk, his contribution to the Alan Parson's Project was more eminent than one should think.
An interesting person, who is at home in the world of classical music as well as in the realm of rock and pop. In that regard he is comparable to John Barry, George Martin and, well, John Powell.
VolkerBach's music is vibrant and inspired. -
